Product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is a document produced in alignment with the U.N.'s Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) that the manufacturer, importer, or distributor of a chemical product is required to provide to consumers and users.

Product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) contain 16 sections:

Sections 1 - 8: Contain general information about the chemical identification, hazards, composition, safe handling practices, first aid and emergency control measures.

Sections 9 - 11: Contain other technical and scientific information, such as physical and chemical properties, stability, reactivity information, toxicological information, and exposure control information.

Sections 12 - 16: Contain ecological, disposal, and transport information.
